Doulton Ultracarb κτικό replacement filter
The Ultracarb φί filter consists of a ceramic micro-filter impregnated with silver, activated carbon block and ion exchange resin. The Ultracarb μικό ceramic filter is manufactured to ISO9001: 2000 quality assurance. The NSF (National Hygiene Foundation), the WRAS (Water Advisory Advisory System) and the Water Quality Association use a very strict set of criteria for continuous monitoring of candles .
The Ultracarb φί filter must be replaced for four people every six months and for one to two people every nine months. Do not use for more than twelve months without replacement.

In the first stage - particles and bacteria larger than 0.5 μm are trapped on the outer surface of the ceramic filter - removal of pathogens :

In the second stage - inside the ceramic filter , silver prevents the growth of bacteria (bacteriostatic action).
In the third stage - the inner core of the solid activated carbon removes chlorine and volatile organic compounds - inorganic removal:
