The Pentek EP-10s are manufactured using a process that delivers a nominal 5 micron filter filtration and a high dirt storage capacity of 22,712 liters . The high porosity design helps to avoid "blocking" the filter before the absorption capacity is exhausted. This maximizes carbon utilization while maintaining a low pressure drop. These filters are protected by a uniquely designed polyolefin pre-filter, designed to significantly increase the useful life of the filter, trapping sediments that typically inflate solid carbon.
